ActiveX controls allow you to manage the various events that occur when the ActiveX control is launched.

How do I Turn on ActiveX?

Enable ActiveX filtering for all sites: Open the desktop, then tap or click the Internet Explorer icon on the taskbar. Tap or click the Tools button, select Security from the drop-down menu, and then tap or click ActiveX Filtering. A check mark should appear next to the ActiveX filter.
