Tito Horford, originally Alfredo William “Tito” Horford, is a Dominican retired professional basketball player and the father of five-time NBA All-Star basketball player Al Horford aka “Big Al.”
Tito played center his whole career for two teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA); Milwaukee Bucks from 1988 to 1990 and Washington Bullets (now Washington Wizards) from 1993 to 1994.
Aside from that, the first Dominican-born player to play in the NBA played in Spain in 1992.
The University of Miami alumnus was listed on the Bucks’ summer 1992 roster.
His loving son Al Horford currently plays center and power forward for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
The 37– year-old Horford had to stay out of the game against Orlando Magic because of low back stiffness on October 22, 2022, even though he planned to play back-to-back this season.

Al’s father, Tito Horford, was born on January 19, 1966, in La Romana, Dominican Republic, to a Bahamian immigrant father.
