Alicia Keys Launches Body Care Products

When most of us talk about skincare, we're only thinking about the skin on our faces — and maybe our necks.

But with the skin being our largest organ and our body's first barrier of protection, it's about time we start thinking about skincare more holistically. That's why Alicia Keys has decided to expand her Keys Soulcare line into body care products.

"Soulcare is this idea of really taking care of yourself from every part of yourself: your mind, your spirit, definitely your body," Keys exclusively tells InStyle. "The body is such a big part of who we are and takes so much wear and tear. We're walking all over the place, running all over the place, it's fatigued. We work it so hard, so I think the body needs more Soulcare than almost anything else."

The singer and businesswoman's latest drop includes three offerings: the Sacred Body Oil, Renewing Body + Hand Wash, as well as the Rich Nourishing Body Cream, all of which are available at Ulta.

"Every day you have to wash your face and every day you have to wash your booty," says Keys. "So what's normally a mundane exercise or activity, Keys Soulcare makes it special. It makes it a ritual, it makes it something beautiful that you can pour into yourself. It takes me to a very special and peaceful place, too. It reminds us that we have this moment, let's take it for ourselves."

She's definitely not lying.

The new Soulcare goods all have the same calming, delicious sage and oat milk scent as the brand's initial batch, which gave me an amazing sensorial experience before I started my hectic day. To top it off, the formulas are ultra-nourishing, non-drying, and never greasy.

Keys Soulcare Renewing Body + Hand Wash

After the beating my skin has taken from excessively washing my hands during COVID, it was so easy for me to fall in love with the Renewing Body + Hand Wash. Unlike many other cleansers, it actually nourished my hands without leaving them feeling dry or rough. In fact, I didn't feel like I needed to put on lotion afterwards.

Keys Soulcare Sacred Body Oil

I love the idea of a body oil, but the truth is that a lot of them are extremely greasy. So unless you're planning on laying on the floor naked all day until your oil dries down, many of them aren't practical — especially in the summer heat. But I'm happy to share that the Sacred Body Oil is one of the exceptions.

"Sacred Body Oil contains baobab oil, which is known for its regenerative abilities," explains Dr. Snyder. "It is excellent for softening the skin and aids in healing due to the levels of aitamins A, B, and C, along with omega-3, 6, and 9 fatty acids. Marula oil is also included which contains 60% more antioxidants than most other oils, packing a powerful punch to the skin."
