Andrea Bocelli is a well-known opera singer, songwriter and tenor record producer. He’s always been passionate about music, and he’s made his fair share of hardship. During his failing time, he played in piano bars every night.

In 1994, he became a vogue character in the music industry and won the preliminary round of the 44th Sanremo Music Festival with a phenomenal score on Miserere.

Andrea Bocelli returns to San Francisco with family in tow

For a quarter-century, the Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli has enchanted his legions of fans — and irritated classical music purists — with his suave, ingratiating vocal style. His repertoire is diverse and eclectic, encompassing everything from Europop to operatic standards, and his arena shows are always well-attended.

His last Bay Area appearance was three years ago, shortly before the pandemic lockdown, at San Francisco’s Chase Center. Bocelli is about to return to the Golden State Warriors’ home to kick off his latest US tour.

The singer’s most recent album, “A Family Christmas,” was released in October and features collaborations with his son Matteo, 25, and his 10-year-old daughter Virginia. They are both on the current tour with him.
