Announcement: Ooni of Ife’s Wife Confirms End of Her Marriage to the Monarch

Unfortunately, there is sad news emerging from the Palace of the Ooni of Ife – the marriage of the first class Yoruba monarch to prophetess Naomi is over.

Naomi herself took to Instagram to confirm the news and provide some clarifications.

She expressed that she entered the marriage with love in her heart and a willingness to serve.

According to her, she did her best to “endure” and “smile through the struggles,” but has now decided to leave her three-year marriage.

The decision to leave, she clarified, has nothing to do with the fact that the Ooni of Ife is married to another queen.

Naomi also addressed rumors about having another child, denying the speculation and confirming that her son with the king is her only child.

“At this moment, I announce that I shall no longer be referred to as wife to the Ooni of Ife or as Queen of Ile-Ife,” she wrote.

This marks the end of the King’s subsequent marriage to end in a divorce.
