Are Babies Long Sighted?

Are babies born long sighted?

While this may be so for adults, the same doesn't necessarily hold true with children's eyes. You see (no pun intended), children are usually born long-sighted, or far-sighted. From birth, children's eyes grow longer in length over time.

Are babies near or far sighted?

Infants and toddlers are usually quite farsighted. As they develop this value lessens as they develop towards neutral findings. Interferences in a child's motor development can influence development of visual skills and the process of becoming less farsighted.
