Are Bumpy Moles Cancerous?

What are the other signs of skin cancer? Changes in the shape, texture or height of moles may be signs of danger too. A mole that is asymmetric and/or has uneven edges can be a sign of melanoma. It may feel bumpy and/or rough to the touch – or you may feel a hard lump.

Are Raised moles cancerous?

A mole (nevus) is a benign growth of melanocytes, cells that gives skin its color. Although very few moles become cancer, abnormal or atypical moles can develop into melanoma over time. "Normal" moles can appear flat or raised or may begin flat and become raised over time. The surface is typically smooth.

Are Raised moles OK?

These types of moles should be monitored for drastic change, but generally aren't cause for concern. However, moles that change and become raised could be an indication of melanoma (as pictured above), and as mentioned previously, if a mole changes, seek advice from skin cancer specialist.
