Can a caddie line up a putt?
Current Rule: Under Rule 14-2b: ➢ When a player is taking a stance, the player's caddie is allowed to stand behind to help the player line up to the target and confirm that the player is correctly aligned.
What are caddies not allowed to do?
Under Rule 18-2, a caddie may help search for his player's ball, but may not purposely touch the ball or cause it to move. Doing either risks a one-stroke penalty. A caddie may also help search for an opponent's ball.
