Are Hwmonitor Temps Accurate?

Distinguished. In answer to your question, HWMonitor and the BIOS both read their data from the same chip on the motherboard. Temperatures will read different in Windows and BIOS because BIOS temps are pure idle, and in Windows your CPU is usually doing something.

What temperature should my HWMonitor CPU be?

The CPU temperature should be 45 degrees to 50 degrees Celsius when it is idle. When you are playing a game, rendering a video, or doing some other intensive tasks then there will be a higher load and temperature could be around 70 to 80 degrees Celsius.

Does HWMonitor show GPU temp?

You will only see GPU temps when the graphics switches over from the onboard Intel 4600 to the GTX-870m card. I myself see this on my JZ model, you will need to reopen HWMonitor once you start a game, or any program that uses the GTX-870n card. Once you reopen HWMonitor you should see GPU temps then.
