Are the light novels canon in Naruto?
Though each book is illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto, they are written by different authors. And yes, they are part of the canon continuity. All books in the Hiden series have been moved to separate pages. See those for tropes pertaining to them.

Are any of the Jojo light novels canon?
A majority were published for the VS JOJO 25th Anniversary Project, where multiple well-known authors wrote their own stories relating to the series. As such, these Light Novels are not written by Hirohiko Araki himself and may or may not be considered canon.
It isn’t canon but it does still contain some events from the manga. But, if you want, you could just read the manga and completely disregard Root A. After that, you can read the Tokyo Ghoul Re manga or watch the Re anime.
