Are Ternary Computers Faster?

With the expansion of fiber optics and expansive hardware, ternary would actually take us to a much more expansive and faster state for a much lower cost.

Are ternary computers better?

Balanced ternary can express negative values as easily as positive ones, without the need for a leading negative sign as with unbalanced numbers. These advantages make some calculations more efficient in ternary than binary.

Is ternary faster than binary?

Thus, we can say that Binary search is faster than Ternary search. This happens because of the increase in the number of comparisons in Ternary search. In simple words, the reduction in the number of iterations in Ternary search is not able to compensate for the increase in comparisons.
