Early Years and Childhood

Axwell was born in Lund, Sweden, on December 18, 1977. He developed an early interest in music when he started playing the drums at the age of nine.

Axel Christofer Hedfors, who goes by Quazar, was a Fäladsgrden Elementary School student who later became prominent in the tracker music scene and released songs under the alias Quazar.

He also launched his professional career in 1995 with the restricted release of a techno and hard trance EP under the name OXL.
