Becky G

Rebecca Marie Gomez who is popularly known as Becky G is an American actress, singer, and songwriter. Gomez got her appearance in 2011, when she started to post videos of herself trying popular songs. Her talent caught the attention of several producers who offered her record deals. The rest is history.

Early Life

Becky G was born in Inglewood, California on 2nd March 1997. Her parents Francisco and Alejandra “Frank” Gomez are of Hispanic descent. All of her grandparents are native to Jalisco, Mexico.

She was brought up with two brothers, named Alex and Frankie and a younger sister named Stephanie. Due to her family’s financial crisis, she lost her home and had to shift into her grandparents’ garage.

Music Career

Becky G started to do modeling, voice-overs, and commercials at an early age of 9. In September 2011 she made her YouTube channel and started to post videos where she sang covers of some popular songs. One of her recordings grabbed the eye of producer Dr. Luke, who proposed her a joint record deal with RCA Records and Kemosabe Records.

Gomez worked together with professionals like will.i.am, Cody Simpson and Cher Lloyd, during her debut period. Her official introduction single, "Becky from the Block" (2013) with star musician Jennifer Lopez got positive compliments upon its discharge in the market. "Can't Get Enough" was her second single featuring Pitbull. It ranked top on Latin Rhythm Airplay chart in the US.

In 2014 and 2015 the young talent toured with Katy Perry, Demi Lovato as well as J Balvin, a Colombian music star, while still working upon her debut album. Becky G also collaborated with other famous singers like Leslie Grace, Karol G, David Guetta, Sean Paul, Bad Bunny, etc.
