Ronnie I. and Lawrence David Ackman gave birth to William Albert Ackman, aka Bill Ackman, on May 11, 1966. His dad was the chairman of Ackman-Ziff Real Estate Group, a New York real estate finance company. His family was Jewish, and he grew up in the Chappaqua, New York area.
