BLAST Major Copenhagen 2023: Schedule & Format

The BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen 2023 features a unique and exciting format for teams and viewers. The tournament is divided into three phases, starting with Phase 1 from 24-27 April. This stage comprises a double-elimination bracket format. Each group includes four teams, with one team representing each region. All non-elimination matches are Bo1, while lower bracket matches are Bo3. The top two teams from each group will advance to Phase 2.

Phase 2 runs from 29 April to 3 May and features a 16-team Swiss System format. The first two rounds of the bracket will feature Bo1 matches. The third round will see non-elimination games played in a Bo1 format, while elimination matches will be played in a Bo3 format. Finally, the fourth and fifth rounds will feature Bo3 matches. Seeding for this phase will be determined by the Buchholz System.

The top 8 teams from Phase 2 will advance to Phase 3, which takes place from 5-7 May. This final phase is a single-elimination bracket format, where all matches (excluding the Grand Final) will be played in Bo3 format. The Grand Final is a Bo5 match with no map advantage. With a highly competitive format, fans can expect thrilling games throughout the tournament.
