The Boko Haram group has claimed another victim in the person of Mustapha Zanna, a prominent commander of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in Nganzai Local Government Area of Borno state. The attack occurred on Wednesday night, September 28, 2022, at his residence in Gajiram, the headquarters of Nganzai LGA.
Leaders from Nganzai paid a visit to the family of the deceased, expressing their condolences and describing Mustapha as a hardworking and dedicated fighter who was committed to ensuring security in the area. The state Commissioner for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement, Engr Mustapha Gubio, also acknowledged the significant role played by the late CJTF commander in various military operations in Nganzai and surrounding areas.
