Brennen Bittel

Professional Background

Brennen Bittel, D.O., is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Dr. Bittel earned bachelor's degrees in chemistry and biology from Fort Hays State University. After earning her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2008, she completed a neurology residency at KU Medical Center in 2011. She also finished a neurophysiology fellowship at KU Medical Center in 2013 before joining the faculty full-time in September of the same year. She is board certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology.

Dr. Bittel has completed more than 1,000 hours of community service work through Americorps, serving as a team leader and helping with the creation and implementation of an after-school program for at-risk youths.
