Byron is also well known as, NBA point guard who played for the Los Angeles Lakers during their magical ‘Showtime’ era and became a head coach after retirement. He first coached the New Jersey Nets from 2000 to 2004, then had stints with the New Orleans Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers before becoming head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers in 2014.
