If the crown is undamaged a dentist will be able to recement it. If you eat a lot of candy you need to make sure you brush, rinse, and floss everyday like you're supposed to otherwise tooth decay may result in you needing a new crown.

Can a dentist cement a crown back?

Some dentists might suggest that you try reinserting the crown back into its spot. You would need to gently clean the inside of the crown with toothpaste first. Then, use dental adhesive (or even toothpaste or sugar-free gum) to temporarily “glue” the crown back into its spot on your jawline.

Can you Recement a loose crown?

If the crown is undamaged and the tooth underneath is in good condition, a dentist can simply clean and re-cement a loose dental crown. However, if the crown is damaged, it cannot be put back into place, and your dentist will need to create and place a new dental crown.
