Can Dfs Be Used to Find Shortest Path?

There are several differences between DFS and BFS (short answer: Both of them can find the shortest path in the unweighted graph). Both BFS and DFS will give the shortest path from A to B if you implemented right.

Is shortest path DFS or BFS?

BFS finds the shortest path to the destination whereas DFS goes to the bottom of a subtree, then backtracks. The full form of BFS is Breadth-First Search while the full form of DFS is Depth First Search. BFS uses a queue to keep track of the next location to visit.

Can DFS find shortest path in weighted graph?

As with BFS, DFS can be used to find all vertices reachable from a start vertex v, to determine if a graph is connected, or to generate a spanning tree. Unlike BFS, it cannot be used to find shortest unweighted paths.
