Can Parolees Leave the State?

As a general rule you cannot leave the state while on parole and most certainly not without permission of your parole officer. If your job requires you to travel outside of the state you may be given permission to do so but that permission must be granted prior to leaving the state.

Can parolees move out of state?

If you are on parole, you may be able to move to another state. Parole rules vary by state, but generally a parole officer must approve a parolee's request to move or travel to another state while the parolee is being supervised on parole.

Can you go on vacation while on parole?

You must ask your parole agent for permission to travel more than 50 miles from your residence and you must have your parole agent's approval before you travel. You must ask for and get a travel pass from your parole agent before you leave the county for more than two days.
