Boot to the Recovery Volume (command – R on a restart or hold down the option/alt key during a restart and select Recovery Volume). Run Disk Utility Verify/Repair Disk and Repair Permissions until you get no errors. Then re-install the OS.

1. Select Disk Utility from the utilities window of macOS Recovery, then click Continue.
2. Select your harddrive in the sidebar.
3. Click the Erase button (MAKE SURE YOU DO HAVE BACKUP)
4. Format: Choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
5. Scheme: Choose GUID Partition Map.
6. Go back to the OS X installation guide.
