Can't See Waveform in Pro Tools?

It is possible to change the zoom settings in Pro Tools for the audio waveform detail on some tracks to be lost from view. The solution is to change the Audio Zoom so that the waveform detail is visible again. NOTE: Changing the Audio Zoom only changes how the waveforms are displayed in Pro Tools.

Pro Tools offers two calculation options for waveform overviews in the form of Peak and Power, the active mode is selected by going to the menu View > Waveforms, as shown below. The waveform view you see within each clip are, by default, calculated by Peak value.

How do you reset waveforms in Pro Tools?

To reset your waveforms back to the default level of zoom simply use CMD+Opt+Ctrl+[ on a mac or Ctrl+Alt+Start+[ on a PC. Alternatively you could double-click the Zoom tool or use Option/Alt+A to achieve almost the same result.
