With Tekla Structures version 2018i or older you cannot import . rvt files. The Revit model needs first to be exported as an IFC file. The IFC can then be imported in Tekla Structures as a reference model, and the reference model objects can be converted to native Tekla Structures objects.

The Tekla Structures geometry is now available in Revit and can be used to co-ordinate with Architectural / MEP project in Revit. Export from Revit using the existing Export to IFC command. This geometry file can then be used in the BIM co-ordination process as a reference file by Tekla Structures.
