Can You Be Myopic and Hypermetropia?

Unless one is talking about mixed (compound) astigmatism, you can't actually have a myopic (nearsighted) AND hyperopic (also called "hypermetropic") eye.

Can you be nearsighted and farsighted at the same time?

It's unusual, but a person can indeed be nearsighted in one eye and farsighted in the other. There are two medical terms used to describe this condition: anisometropia and antimetropia. Anisometropia is the condition where the two eyes have significantly different refractive (light-bending) powers.

Does hyperopia affect myopia?

Myopia. Commonly known as nearsightedness, myopia is the opposite of hyperopia.
