A sudden force or pull to your gracilis can cause it to tear. This may cause pain, bruising, and a weak feeling in your inner thigh and groin. Groin strains can range from grade I (mild) to grade III (full thickness tear of the muscle).
How do you treat a pulled inner thigh muscle?
- Ice the inside of your thigh to reduce pain and swelling. Experts recommend doing it for 20 to 30 minutes every 3 to 4 hours for 2 to 3 days, or until the pain is gone.
- Compress your thigh using an elastic bandage or tape.
- Take anti-inflammatory painkillers.
How do I relax my gracilis?
1) Standing Gracilis Stretch: Place your right leg on a raised platform and slightly turn away from your raised leg. Keeping your hips facing forward, slowly bend your opposite leg until you feel a gentle stretch on the inside of your right thigh. Hold for 30 seconds and then switch legs.
