It is also quicker to dry, but some experts find the finish somewhat inferior to that of oil-based polyurethane. Polyurethane is available in satin, matte or gloss finishes; satin is a good choice for cork floors. Wax is a sealing finish that was once quite popular, just as it was for wood floors.
Can you wax cork flooring?
You should never wax your floor. We do not recommend steam cleaning cork flooring as it is not good for wood floors. Never use an abrasive or ammonia-based cleaning product! Sweep, vacuum, or damp mop the installed floor regularly.
Should cork floors be sealed?
It is important to seal cork flooring in order to protect it against moisture, fading, stains, and scratches. Sealing helps keep the cork flexible and prevents it from drying over time and shrinking at the seams.
