Charlie Sheen Apologizes to Jon Cryer, Endorses Rob Lowe as ‘Men’ Replacement

Charlie Sheen returned to the air waves Wednesday morning, granting two radio interviews.

“I was in a mood, and I threw that out there…” Sheen said. “It’s a half apology — it’s an apol!”  

He also said he’s been taking to Rob Lowe, one of the names being thrown around as Sheen’s replacement. “He’s a buddy of mine, he’s a beautiful man, a brilliant actor, and I hope he does it and kicks its ass because I still get [paid],” he said.

“Don’t look at the 177 episodes that I brilliantly did. Just park those!” he said. “Ignore the 400 reruns every week that you can’t avoid. Cancel your Sheen app. I’d recommend, in all seriousness, that they make it their own.”

“I don’t even know if they would call the [character] ‘Charlie’ anymore … how does the show transition?” he asked. “Do you have [the show’s creator & executive producer] Chuck [Lorre], that silly sad troll, do you have him talk in the camera and say, ‘Here’s what happened’ and then Rob Lowe comes out? Or do they just do it, without explaining it, and hope no one notices?”

In both interviews, Sheen claimed he had no idea why he was fired.

Speaking with Patrick, he dismissed claims that he arrived in no condition to work and flubbed lines. “Flubbing my lines, wow … is that the best they got?” Sheen said, adding that: “When I step into the lines on that stage, I’ve never been loaded once.”

He fired back at critics, including Dr. Drew Pinsky, who has said he’s ill.

Said Sheen, “These ridiculous, retarded zombies … the Pinskys and Minskys and all these experts that never met me … calling me a 5150.”

Sheen told Patrick his days of chatting may be over: “This could be my final interview. This is where it all began and where it all ends.”

“We’ve been calling each other and we’ve been trying to come up with a way to get out there how we feel about what’s happened with the show,” she said. “It’s so sad that this may be the end of something amazing all because of a lot of ego-fighting and pain, and obviously the sad condition of Charlie’s health.”
