Troy Daniels was born on July 15, 1991, in Roanoke, Virginia, to his mother’s name, Cheryl Daniels, and his father’s name, Irving Daniels.

He attended William Fleming High School, located in Roanoke, Virginia. During his high school career, he was selected as Northwest Region Player of the Year.
