Between the years 2006 and 2011, McBryde released a pair of self-released albums. In the year 2017, she first released her debut single “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega”.

Ashley was born on July 29. 1983 in Saddle, Arkansas. She spent her childhood days in Arkansas. Later she moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a music career.

In an interview, she stated that in her childhood days, she spent a very strict life as her father was a preacher. From her childhood days, she began to be interested in music. Often she played her father’s guitar, though her family bought her a new guitar.

McBryde rhythmed her first song at age 12 and desired to become a singer and songwriter. She went to bluegrass festivals with her mother, where she got more inspiration to start her music career. 

McBryde attended Arkansas State University where she started studying french horn. Ashley recalled once in an interview that she was quite disinterested in her studies. So her professor encouraged her to drop from college and to start her musical journey.
