1As stated in her obituary, she considered her most important line in the series to be, "Honey, lunch is ready".
2She learned that a major studio was interested in her when she was the reigning champion as a contestant on Dotto (1958). Host Jack Narz gave her a telegram with the news while on the air.
3Was one of four children born to an actress mother and a Boston-based teacher/acting coach father. As a child, she appeared in many of her father's stock-company plays.
4Working with a Miami theatre company, she moved to New York after her divorce from her first husband and trained with the Helen Hayes Equity Group in the 1950s.

8She eventually retired to Dana Point, CA, in 1989 on the recommendation of her Mister Ed (1958) co-star Alan Young, who had been living there. She hosted a local cable-access show about animals, interviewing veterinarians and animal behaviorists and offering animals for adoption.
9Born into a show-business family, she caught the acting bug when she appeared on stage in "Life with Father", playing the role of Mary, with her father in the title role.
10After auditioning for the role of Carol in Mister Ed (1958), she waited for the phone call from her agent and the producers at a gas station, because she didn't have a phone in her apartment yet.
11She considered her stint on Mister Ed (1958) as nothing more than a steady paycheck, since the story lines focused on the relationship between Wilbur and Mister Ed.
12Basically retired in the '60s. With her now deceased ex-husband as a producer, she hosted a cable television show about animal rescue.
