Who owns Coptic hospital? It is part of the Coptic Orthodox Church. The Coptic Orthodox is the oldest church in the world. It was founded by St. Mark the Evangelist, author of the second gospel in Alexandria, Egypt, in 61 A.D. The first Coptic Orthodox Church in Kenya was established in Nairobi in 1976.

There are a number of projects and ministries in Kenya, including the Coptic Hospital and Hope Center in Nairobi. The Coptic Hospital is a level 5 mission hospital established in the 1970s by the Coptic Orthodox Church.

Coptic hospital maternity package

At Coptic hospital, you will experience professionalism and the expertise of obstetricians and gynaecologists in ante-natal care and maternity. The maternity package includes ante-natal care, pediatric review after delivery, postnatal and obstetrician visits. Normal delivery will cost you approximately Kshs. 50,000. This is inclusive of one night-ward bed.

You will be required to pay an additional Kshs. 5000 for induction of labour and perineal tear stitching. For normal delivery, a deposit of Kshs 35,000 is required. In addition, you will be required to pay an extra Kshs. 16,500 for normal delivery without pain (Epidural).

Coptic Hospital charges approximately Kshs. 130,000 for a cesarean section. This amount also caters for a two nights-ward bed and gynaecologist and anesthesiologist charges in the maternity ward. For normal delivery, a deposit of Kshs 80,000 is required.

The hospital recently launched a new service dubbed the private delivery room for normal deliveries. In this case, the mother has her own room to give birth in. This service will cost you approximately Kshs. 75,000. It is inclusive of gynaecologist fees and one routine visit by the paediatrician.

Insurance

Does Coptic hospital accept NHIF? NHIF cards are accepted, and a patient is required to submit his/her card within 24 hours of admission. You need to know that NHIF covers Ksh. 9,500 per night for inpatient services with a rebate fee of Ksh. 2,900.

Does Coptic Hospital accept AON? AON is one of the insurance companies that Coptic Hospital works with. The other insurance companies include Britam, APA Insurance, CIC Insurance, Jubilee, Madison Insurance, Eagle Africa, First Assurance, Jubilee, Pacis Insurance, and many others.
