David Tepper is the owner of the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League and has three children with his ex-wife, Marlene Resnick Tepper: Brian, Randi, and Casey. David Alan Tepper, a renowned American hedge fund manager and billionaire, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1978 and obtained an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University in 1982. Tepper began his career in the treasury department of Republic Steel in Ohio and later joined Keystone Mutual Funds (now part of Evergreen Funds) in Boston in 1984. He now owns the Carolina Panthers of the NFL and Charlotte FC of the MLS. Additionally, he is the founder and president of Appaloosa Management, a global hedge fund based in Miami Beach, Florida.

Randi Tepper, David’s daughter, serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Tepper Foundation, where she collaborates with her father. She graduated with a degree in Political Science from Emory University and has dedicated her career to public service, starting as an early childhood educator at a nonprofit school and progressing to roles such as project manager for Zearn and Chief Operating Officer for the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund. Randi also sits on the Board of Directors of Blue Meridian Partners.
