Default Notification Sound Overrides Native Notification Sound in Apps
I Noticed This When I Upgraded My Old 1 Xl to Pie, and Now That I Have the 3 Xl, It's Painfully Obvious. and It's Become a Pain! Apparently, Pie Now Requires...
Apparently, Pie now requires apps that use their own proprietary notification sound -- think Life360, ESPN, and the like -- to have a notification sound selection setting in the app, or Pie will just use the default notification sound.
I don't know what would be easier, lobbying Google to change this back to the pre-Pie standard of allowing apps to use their own notification sounds without a setting for the user to select that sound or others, or lobbying each individual app developer to provide a notification sound selection setting in the app.
