A teenage girl, who accuses Manchester City footballer Benjamin Mendy of rape, has refuted allegations of fabricating stories involving his teammate Jack Grealish, the court revealed.
The woman, aged 17 at the time, asserted that she was sexually assaulted twice by Mendy, 28, at a party hosted at his Cheshire estate last year.

During her testimony at Chester Crown Court, she disclosed informing her boyfriend about the incidents, but denied mentioning anything about Jack Grealish kissing her or seizing her phone at the post-clubbing ‘after-party.’
Additionally, she made allegations against Mendy’s friend and co-accused Louis Saha Matturie, 41, claiming that he also raped her twice on the same day.
Both Mendy and Matturie have denied multiple counts of rape and sexual assault.
Eleanor Laws KC, who is defending Mendy, suggested to the teenager that she might have exaggerated and fabricated details while talking to her boyfriend.
She interrogated, ‘You might have gone overboard with your narration and started conveying untruths.’
The girl responded, ‘No, that never happened.’
She further refuted, ‘I never said that.’
The court heard that the teenager, along with other young women, visited Mendy’s residence after attending China White nightclub on August 23 last year.
She described being raped twice by Mendy in the office at the house and by Matturie in the cinema room and later at his apartment near Manchester city center.
Ms. Laws referred to ‘excitable’ voicemail recordings made by the teenager and sent to her friends in a Snapchat group hours after the party.
In the voicemails, the teenager made statements about signing a non-disclosure agreement, an expensive party, and champagne.
Prosecutors have characterized Mendy as a ‘predator’ who turned the pursuit of women for sex into a game, while Matturie is alleged to have had the task of finding young women for sex.
Mendy denies seven counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, and one count of sexual assault against six young women, whereas Matturie denies six counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault related to seven young women.
Both men claim that any sexual activity with women or girls was consensual.
The trial is ongoing.
