Roundup is an herbicide produced by the company Monsanto that farmers and agricultural workers have used for decades to rid their crops of unwanted vegetation and weeds. Roundup's formula has not changed in the United States since the 1970s and includes a possible carcinogen known as glyphosate.
Did Roundup change formula?
Despite consumer concerns, Roundup did not change their formula. If you believe the chemical makeup of the popular weed killer and herbicide compromised your health or that of a loved one, you might be eligible for a monetary award.
Why is Roundup still on the market?
People used glyphosate as a herbicide in 1974 when Monsanto used it to create Roundup. However, farmers did not widely use Roundup until as recently as 1996. This was because Monsanto was also selling genetically modified seeds to farmers. As a result, the seeds were resistant to the effects of Roundup as a herbicide.
