Do Carbon Wheels Need Truing?

Because they're so much stronger, carbon wheels require truing less frequently than aluminum ones, and when they do, you'll just see small warps in the shape, so you'll have to look a bit closer.

Can carbon wheels go out of true?

Carbon is unlike aluminum in that it will always go back to true if you were to untension all the spokes, aluminum can be bent to the point of no repair meaning that if you release all the tension the rim will still be bent.

Do carbon wheels bend?

Durability. Carbon is fantastically strong stuff and carbon fibre wheels can be impressively durable. They don't bend, though, unlike aluminium, which means they can be prone to damage from sharp impacts or crashes when they're subject to loads they're not designed to cope with.
