Do Contestants Get to Keep Zonks?

Though usually considered joke prizes, traders legally win the Zonks. However, after the taping of the show, any trader who had been Zonked is offered a consolation prize (currently $100) instead of having to take home the actual Zonk.

Each episode requires between three and five zonks. The goal is to keep the contestants entertained as they lose, so many of them actually want to take their zonks home. But as tempting as that may be, it isn't allowed. Instead, they go home with a $100 consolation prize.

Do you really get the prizes on Let's Make a Deal?

They will tweet items to bring that will be included in the final segment of the show. If you have the items, you could win $100 or more. If you win a prize, you won't actually take anything home that day and if, for some reason, your episode doesn't air, you won't get your prize.
