Do Decayed Guardians Drop Ancient Cores?

Dead Guardians (the ones you can search for loot) have a 2% chance of normal-sized ancient cores but ONLY if you flip them over.

What are the chances of a guardian dropping an ancient core?

The drop rate is around 50% so you'll average 4 ancient cores if you go around them all each blood moon. These guardian scouts also drop great weapons such as the Ancient Battle Axe ++, which are not very durable but are very powerful when used in conjunction with the ancient armour.

Which guardians can drop ancient cores?

Ancient Cores can drop as a random loot from certain Guardians. Guardian Stalkers, Guardian Skywatchers, and Guardian Turrets will drop this material. The Guardian Scout III and Guardian Scout IV will rarely drop this item as well. Additionally, Link can purchase Ancient Cores from the traveling merchant Teli.
