Do Etched Foils Curl?

Recently, some consumers who purchased Commander Legends reported about the curling problem in foil cards from the set, but it looks like these etched foils are not seeing that problem. If Wizards of the Coast moves to using etched as standard foiling, they might have found a way to dramatically reduce curls.
Do double sided foils curl?
They are much more resistant to curling, at least I've noticed. The primary problem with curling I think is that the Mylar foil layer makes the surface of the card less permeable to water absorption along with being fairly tightly bonded to surface and physically won't expand either.
How can you tell if foil is etched?
Foil-etched cards appear slightly matte and are a little less shiny on the foiled portions. They have a slightly textured finish compared with regular foils and, as a result, there is less glare reflected off the card. You will notice a metallic granular finish that looks as though it contains tiny metal specks.
