An entire warranty will not be voided if you put the least bit of effort in to it simply because of cutouts.

For short term playing and/or driving around (IMO) cut-outs are fine and even fun. However, for performance or stressing your RPM ranges, I can't recommend them while keeping the current custom tune. Technically speaking... when you open up an exhaust system you create more air flow and less back pressure.
