Do Gauss Rifles Have Recoil?

Since nothing except for the projectile moves in a Gauss rifle, and there are no propellants used, there is as much "recoil" in a Gauss Rifle as in a laser. The projectile in question does not even touch the "barrel", which is a series of magnets. If anything, recoil would be highly illogical and ruin authenticity.

Do railguns produce recoil?

Now, in a regular gun, there's rapidly burning/exploding gunpowder which causes recoil. But a railgun doesn't seem to have any propellent pushing back against the shooter.

Do Gauss Cannons have recoil?

In a normal rifle, the explosion accelerates the bullet rapidly and you get recoil. In a gauss rifle, the acceleration will be a bit lower, but for a slightly longer time (the entire length of the barrel), so for the same muzzle velocity you will be able to calculate the recoil in the exact same way.
