Do Greenling Taste Good?

Greenling taste pretty good, flakey white meat similar to lingcod. I've bonked 3 of them in the last year and let a couple small ones go. Shallower area's near structure and kelp hold them.

Can you eat a kelp greenling?

Lots of folks throw back any greenling they catch, deeming them unworthy of a skillet and butter, but if you ask Cliff and his buddies who caught a bunch of kelp greenling out in the bay this week they're just fine eating!
