Rodents have clitoral (female), preputial (male), and perianal modified sebaceous glands with holocrine secretions. Human do not have these glands.

What is the function of the preputial gland?

The gland has a long excretory duct with a wide lumen lined by stratified squamous epithelium. The ducts empty into the preputial cavity. The preputial glands are the source of chemical signals (pheromones) that promotes reproduction and behavior of mice.

Are Tyson glands harmful?

Tyson glands are visible sebaceous glands. These bumps form around the frenulum, or the small tissue folds underneath the penis. The resulting spots are small and may be white or yellow. They're considered harmless and don't require treatment.
