Do Orchids Change Color

Most orchid flowers will retain the same color throughout the blooming cycle. But just before the flowers wither and fall, some flowers will deepen in color, turning from white to pink, or from pink to a darker shade. Veins are often more prominent during this color change.

Why has my orchid change Colour?

The change in color is likely due to differences in light and temperature between the environment it was grown in and its new environment inside the home. In this case lower light likely lead to deeper color saturation. The orchid shown in the picture is a Harlequin Phalaenopsis.

Why do white orchids turn green?

The green spots on the flowers are an indication that the blooms are ageing which is a natural process, so no need to panic.
