Do Pocket Masks Expire

The Pocket Mask has no stated shelf life or product lifetime (Expiry date) within its User Guide/Directions for Use. From a design perspective Laerdal has evaluated the Pocket Mask to be storable for at least 5 years and capable of withstanding a minimum of 20 cleaning cycles without damage or loss of performance.

How long do pocket masks last?

Depending on how they are stored, anywhere from twelve months to five years. It is vital that you treat your mask as rescue equipment that may be used to save the life of someone experiencing a breathing or cardiac emergency. At the very least, inspect your equipment annually.

Is it OK to use face masks after they expire?

According to the trusted experts, yes, it’s safe to use expired sheet masks – that is, if they pass the sniff and touch tests. Same goes for your other beauty products. We generally prefer to stay within one year of expiration, though.
