Sea hares fight cyano is a first for me. We used to keep them in our systems to control brown algae, but with lower nutrition and PRODIBIO in all our coral aquariums we do not need them any more.
What do sea hares eat?
They feed on algae and seagrass, keeping these marine plants in balance and preventing overgrowth, which depletes oxygen from the surrounding water and can lead to increased levels of toxins produced by algal blooms. Sea hare predators include lobsters, starfish, and larger gastropods.
What are sea hare predators?
Anemones, crabs, lobsters and starfish are all natural predators of the sea hare.
