Do Tide Pods Dissolve in Cold Water

Tide’s cold water detergent dissolves completely in cold water and does not produce excess suds, thanks to the Tide PODS®’ special film and HE Turbo technology. Even better, by doing your laundry in cold water, you can use up to 50% less energy!

How do you use Tide Pods in cold water?

The pod must be placed directly in the drum, never in a dispenser drawer. The single-dose pods should dissolve completely in both cold and hot water. During the winter, if the incoming cold water is extremely cold, the pod may not dissolve correctly.

Do Tide Pods work in warm water?

Most laundry detergent pods are actually designed to dissolve in any temperature water, although some of them (like Tide pods and other liquid detergent pods) work better with cold water, rather than hot or warm water.
