Do You Have to Cover Icf

Rest assured that your ICF wall will not leak, or crack regardless of what season you build in. In extremely hot weather, in which evaporation is a concern, the top of the form need only be covered with plastic sheeting.

Does ICF require House Wrap?

Housewraps are not needed on ICF walls, but may be necessary on framed portions, such as gables, dormers, and window walls. Flashing is used in many areas of an ICF installation and is intended to direct the flow of liquid water away from moisture sensitive materials and away from the interior of the home.

How long can ICF be exposed?

If you can either shade it or paint/cover it with an appropriate material to take the brunt of the sun exposure it should be fine for as long as you like, but vendors typically recommend leaving uncovered and exposed to sunlight for no more than 3 months.
