Armor All protectant and leather care protectant products contain surfactants and water-based silicone emulsions. They do not contain alcohols or petroleum distillates. In addition, Armor All® Outlast® Interior Restorer Cream and Outlast® Leather Restorer contain UV inhibitors.
Why Armor All is bad?
The confusion is Armor All uses water-based silicone emulsions but does not use petroleum distillates. It's safe. Silicones and petroleum distillates can create a shiny surface but over time it is believed that they will dry out plastic and rubber which can cause it to crack prematurely.
